After 24 Powerball jackpots with no winners, one lucky Capetonian holds the winning ticket to a whopping R232-million after spending a mere R22.50 for the chance to win.

The National Lottery operator Ithuba says that the golden ticket was purchased in Goodwood.

“The winning ticket was bought at an OK Mini Mark Tygerdal in Goodwood, Western Cape.”

It was revealed that the winner had manually selected their numbers – it is almost as though they were fated to win.

The winning number was selected last night, but the winner is yet to come forward to claim their millions.

“The winner has not yet made contact with ITHUBA.”
