With the renowned love-ballad singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran soon to perform in South Africa, Big Concerts has announced that English music sensation Passenger will be opening the show.
Passenger, a songwriter and musician is known for his hit single ‘Let her go’, which won the Ivor Novello Award for the Most Performed Work and was also nominated for a Brit award.
This is not the first time Passenger will be visiting South Africa; his first nation-wide tour took place in 2015 and was a massive hit with locals.
Fans will be happy to know that due to increased demand, additional seated tickets have been released for the second Cape Town show, which is scheduled to take place on March 28 2019.
The concert will take place at the Cape Town Stadium, and Big Concerts advises locals to purchase their tickets quickly before they sell out. Currently, there are limited standing tickets left to purchase.
This is the first time in history that a second concert date for an international act has been added for Cape Town Stadium.
Tickets
Tickets can only be purchased from Computicket. They are not transferable and cannot be resold.
“Computicket is the only authorised ticket vendor for the tour and fans are reminded that tickets purchased from third party websites and unauthorised resellers are not valid for entry at the venues.”
Concert dates
Sheeran will be performing in both Johannesburg and Cape Town in March 2019.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and no children under the age of 3 are allowed to attend the event.
To gain admission to the venue you will need the following items:
– Ticket(s);
– The credit card used for purchase, or a photo or photocopy of it
– A valid photo ID matching the customer name on the booking confirmation.
