Mountain biking enthusiasts Hendrik Steytler, Deon Brink and Ivor Potgieter are tackling the 1 700km journey from Cape Town to Pretoria on bicycles to raise R1-million for charities dear to their hearts.

For their initiative, the Miles for Millions Tour, the inspirational trio of friends will take to the gruelling mountainous terrain between these two cities and travel the long way to reach their goal of raising R1-million for Jacaranda Fm & Morning Angels.

They will be setting off for Pretoria from the Commodore Hotel at the V & A Waterfront on Wednesday morning, April 3, and will travel through 20 different stops along the way, including towns such as Wellington and Ceres.

They will eventually end their journey at a family-fun day of biking and music that will be taking place at The Big Red Barn, Irene, on April 13.

Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels charity has changed the lives of thousands over the years with the help of everyday ‘angels’, from individuals, businesses, and organisations, to well-loved celebrities. The charity organisation has raised millions to help those in need.

From lifesaving medical procedures, to rebuilding homes and raising funds for young people to get educated, the angels are always there to take others under their wings.

Locals are invited to support the three cyclists on their 11-day route by sponsoring kilometers at R500 each. All funds raised will go towards vulnerable people and worthy causes through the Good Morning Angels Fund NPC.

You can donate to this cause here.
