Cape Town residents are in for a wet week, with both Tuesday and Thursday predicted to bring rainfall.
The South African Weather Service reports that a 30% chance of precipitation is predicted for Tuesday as well as temperature lows of a brisk 14°C and highs of 20°C. High winds are also on the cards for the Mother City, with speeds of 27.75km/15kn predicted.

Capetonians are reminded to have their umbrellas at the ready when commuting on Thursday as there is a 60% chance of rainfall, and rain is expected to reach up to 5mm. The city is predicted to experience temperature lows of a chilly 13°C and highs of a pleasant 21°C.
With dam levels in the area presently measuring just below 50% (the overall average), the rain is much-needed and could not have come at a sooner time.
While Cape Town receives the good news of the rain, outlying areas such as Clanwilliam and Cederberg have been issued with a veld fire warning for Monday, April 29. The warning applies to areas in the Karoo, Cederberg Municipality, Eastern Overberg, Cape Winelands, and Western Garden Route districts.
