A foggy start to the week in Cape Town

After a hot summery day in Cape Town yesterday, the mist rolled in and stayed the night. On Monday morning, thick fog covered the ocean, mountains and much of the roads. Drivers were cautioned to be extra careful on the roads due to low visibility.

Traffic along the Atlantic Seaboard was crawling because of the thick fog that left drivers blinded. Planes at Cape Town International had to be landed via auto-pilot because the runaway was not visible. No incidents were reported.

The weather report for Cape Town showed fog for this morning, clearing up later. Temperatures are expected to peak at 21°C and the fog is likely to clear up before lunch.

In the meantime, stay focused on the road ahead until the weather clears up.
