If you haven’t had the chance to visit the beautiful country of Belgium, now’s your chance to experience what it has to offer – right here in Cape Town!
This year marks the 8th edition of Taste of Belgium, a market-style celebration of all things Belgian, from food to art and delectable cuisine.
Organised by the Belgian Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Kingdom of Belgium and SAB-InBev, this year’s festival will be hosted at the Ambassador’s residence in Newlands Cape Town – on Belgian soil!
Following Belgium’s Kings Day celebration, Taste of Belgium takes place on Saturday the November 16, 2019 as part of many festivities supported by Belgian communities in South Africa for “Belgian Week”.
Join the many Belgian producers and traders’ locally showcasing their wares, have a stroll on the Flea Market, organised by Belgica Club, and enjoy authentic Belgian beers and national cuisine – sample traditional Flemish stew, Belgian fries, cheese croquettes or dive into some ‘moules frites’! Satisfy your sweet tooth with some chocolate, fine pastries and tarts or waffles while you take in the products, designs and displays at the market.
