Residents in the Western Cape seem to have no qualms with a little infidelity as a recent report by international infidelity service Ashley Madison has ranked the province second in the country for having affairs.
Going off their 2019 sign-ups, the company was able to build a profile of each province with those with the most subscribed to the service ranking as the top offenders.
While the Western Cape made it into second place, the province was beaten out by none other than Gauteng ranking in first place with the highest number of people looking to experience affection outside of their marriage. KwaZulu-Natal came in at third place.
Other featured provinces in order of ranking from forth place are the Free State, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, North West and Limpopo.
According to Ashley Madison chief commercial officer Paul Keable speaking to Sunday Independent, the service is becoming increasingly popular with women, even dominating the offerings in some ways.
Out of the 50 countries the service is available in, South Africa ranks in 12th place with roughly 3300 people in the country making use of its services.
Overall, South Africa has more females making use of the service when compared to men with an average of 1.8 active female accounts for every one active male account.
