The Oranjezicht City Farm and Market is closed to the public, but boxes of fresh produce can be ordered for the time being. These will be available for drive-through pick-ups outside the market.

The popular market posted on Facebook to announce this new offering, implemented to support farmers during this time of financial insecurity.

“The idea is that you will pay online, you will be given a time and you will collect in your own vehicle at the market,” Sheryl Ozinsky, Director at Oranjezicht City Farm told Cape Talk. “Our farmers have beetroots and spinach in the ground. If we’re not going to take that it’s going to go to waste.”
