The Cape is not short of waterfalls in winter. Following many days of rain that pushed dam levels up by 9.2%, there has been an abundance of bountiful waterfalls flowing steadily down various mountainsides.

Local photographer Nigel Riley captured serene pictures of the “Admiral’s waterfall” in Simon’s Town, flowing happily after the much-needed rains.

A huge waterfall on Table Mountain flowed heavily down the iconic landmark following the rainy weather.

Some hikers took to the mountain and were able to record the beautiful sight.

Those travelling along Du Toitskloof Pass were able to spot a number of waterfalls flowing down the mountainside from the road.
