The rainy season in the Mother City is showing no signs of slowing down, with three more days of downpours on the cards for Cape Town this week.

According to Storm Report SA three cold fronts will make landfall this week. The first cold front has already hit land on Tuesday, August 11, the next will come on Wednesday evening, August 12 and the last early on Saturday, August 15.

Tuesday, August 11 will kick off the short work week ahead with mostly cloudy temperatures and a high of 16°C paired with a low of 11°C.

As the Mother City reaches the midweek mark on Wednesday, August 12 showers will be ushered in along with temperatures reaching a high of 15°C and a low of 11°C.

Both Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14 will be offering partly cloudy conditions with highs of 16°C and a low of 8°C on Thursday, while Friday will dip to 12°C at its lowest.

Saturday, August 15 will bring showers and cooler weather. A high of 13°C will be experienced for the day with a low of 8°C. Sunday, August 16 will continue the trend with scattered showers expected, a high of 12°C with a low of 7°C can be expected for the day.

Next week, Monday, August 17 is expected to kick off with rainy weather as well but the forecast could change. More scattered showers are currently predicted for the new week according to Weather.com.

As we prepare for a rainy week, residents are reminded to travel safely along roads during showers and to bring along their umbrellas when leaving the house for essential needs on Wednesday and over the weekend.
