The late Princess Diana once said “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” This is exactly what students did at Windsor High School for a fellow classmate.
According to reports from Radio 786, Tashreeq Doovey, a matriculant at Windsor High School recently suffered from a seizure while he was walking home from school. Unfortunately, during the seizure he was robbed of his cellphone.
Doovey is raised by a single mother who is reportedly working weekend jobs to support her family, making a smartphone an added expense.
After hearing the news that their classmate had been robbed, Doovey’s fellow classmates pitched-in to get him a brand new smartphone and custom Matric 2020 jacket.
In a video posted by Roxanne Carter, which has since gone viral, you can see Doovey get visibly emotional as he receive a gift bag from his classmates. After getting some motivation from his friends, he finally manages to open the box containing his new phone before bursting into tears of joy. The generosity doesn’t end there though.
One of Doovey’s classmates then approaches him and says “We want you feel apart. We want you to feel [apart] of the family, but you must also look the part, so we got you the jacket bro”.
