Franschhoek

Celebrating its 22nd Bastille Day Festival, the Franschhoek valley will be commemorating the french national holiday with three exciting festival offerings.

First off is the market at BICCS where artisanal offerings of homemade chocolate, olives and country fresh bread will be available for purchasing.

Next, sample some wines and taste some gourmet food at the food and wine hall. If you’ve got kids, you can bring them along as there are various activities that’ll keep them entertained for hours.

Finally, make your way to the food and wine marquee where you’ll be treated to a gourmet feast from some of the finest Franschhoek restaurants. The cherry on top? The internationally acclaimed chef Marcus Freminot will be preparing some traditional Creole cuisine.

In keeping align with the French style, there’ll be a miniature blue, white and red Eiffel Tower and a French-inspired photo booth.
