The Wonderal World was relaunched in December 2018 after one whole year of renovations. It is located on the Hazendal Wine Estate and features virtual exhibits and physical activities to inspire, educate and entertain children.

The Wonderal Centre is for children aged 5 – 13. The indoor space and the outdoor play area will be sure to blow the kids’ minds! Children are able to interact with each other on topics like energy, nature, nutrition and skills about life while the more technical side encourages them to be creative, curious and to always use their imagination according to The Inside Guide.

Wonderal is not just a playground but is a mental exercise facility for children too. They will be accompanied by Amuki, who is a virtual inhabitant of Wonderal.

Amuki will guide the children through the tour of Wonderal while also teaching them through the whole experience and providing tips on how to complete diverse activities and other tasks.

Some of the attractions of Wonderal are:

Kora, the tree of light:

Situated at the centre of Wonderal, children are able to learn about motion energy with hand cycling and climbing games.

Story cave:

Children can relax and listen to educational audio stories

Wildlands:

The perfect place for children to run their energy out through physical activities.

While the kids are playing, parents can enjoy a lovely meal at the Babushka Deli, sampling the estate’s good wine. Please note, toddlers who are not old enough to be a part of Wonderal can accompany their parents to the Deli where there are toys, rocking horses and a lawn to play on.
