When I first took on all that is Cape {Town} Etc, I stepped back to think not about what we do have, but rather, what we do not. I think it’s safe to say that we have the “Cape Town” part pretty covered. It’s the “Etc” that I wanted to tap into as a young creative, writes Robyn Simpson.
As an energetic, dynamite site, we are constantly aiming to evolve and improve. During my reflections, one thing became ever prominent. A gaping hole in our content, and in our city – the representation of what makes the Mother City exceptional: YOU!
Introducing our new video series: Made in Cape Town
The series is created with the intention of showcasing “ordinary” Capetonians doing extraordinary things. Locals making waves. A celebration of diversity, artistry, talent, and pure passion. Reflecting the life and soul of the city on our platform.
The series is person-focused. That’s right, it’s all about you and your story.
No matter who you are, where you’re from, your age or your craft – this is a chance for you to be seen by the Mother City.
How it works?
We find you and you find us. If you have a dream, a story, a talent to share, get in touch at [email protected], send us a direct message on social media, tag us @capetownetc, or use the hashtag #MadeInCapeTown. Who knows, we might be the ones sliding into your DM’s.
We’ve got big plans. We’ve got big talent lined up.
Watch this space, Cape Town. Things are about to get colourful.
“The time for the extraordinary is now. No longer will the brilliant be bound.”
