Anti-gang Unit detectives have launched a manhunt following a triple murder in Delft, that also left two people injured, reports said on Wednesday.

The incident was believed to be gang-related, a News24 report said.

An unknown number of suspects started firing shots on the corner of Umvuti and sari streets at 19:05 on Tuesday, police were quoted as saying. 

A 22-year-old woman and two men, aged 39 and 28, died on the scene, Times Live reported.

A 13-year-old girl and a 33-year-old woman sustained serious gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital for medical attention.
