Time to book the dates and pack your bags, Capetonians! July 9 – July 18 marks the time of the year for delicious molluscs at the Knysna Oyster Festival.
According to IOL, General Manager Colleen Durant has confirmed that the event has been changed to put all COVID-19 protocols in place.
With that being said, all activities in the Knysna area will be available in the Sedgefield, Rheenendal, Buffalo Bay and Brenton, so that people can spread out and do more whilst still social distancing.
There are many activities to indulge in such as beaches, forests, family and evening events, sports entertainment, tours, food and so much more.
Fun Fact!
The Knysna Oyster Festival has been a big, successful event since 1983 when it was first called the Knysna Winter Festival.
According to SA Venues, the festival has always been spread across 10 days of winter, which includes two weekends. It has grown and changed into a festival that is always vibrant with good food, and family-friendly fun!
