Table Mountain is arguably one of the most iconic urban landmarks in the world – it almost defines the ‘Cape Town experience’. But what if you could hold the Mother City’s favourite mountain in your hand, and then eat it?

That’s the crazy idea behind Table Mountain Chocolate, a Cape Town-based company that was founded in February 2013. They recently launched a mini chocolate version of Table Mountain that will be exclusively on offer to the hospitality industry around Cape Town – it’s the perfect turndown gift for guests and visitors to the Cape.

Packaged in recycled paper, the eco-friendly company says the raw ingredients used in each delicious chocolate bar they produce are sourced from skilled, local farmers. The chocolate itself is pure pleasure – we’d know – and you’ll struggle to not immediately indulge in this tasty souvenir as soon as you’ve got it in your hands. The smell of cocoa drifts in the air as you open the crisp gold wrapping and the smooth, silky chocolate just melts in your mouth.

Buy it for yourself

If you aren’t planning a visit to one of Cape Town’s many hotels and won’t find a chocolate on your pillow, don’t fret. Only Table Mountain mini chocolates are exclusive to the hospitality industry.

Regular size bars are on sale to Capetonians at the Shop on the Top of Table Mountain – don’t forget the Cableway’s summer sunset special – as well as at Raith Gourmet in Gardens and in High Constantia. You can even buy the chocolates directly from the company’s head office in Sea Point.
