The 12 Apostles hosts craft beer and cider tastings that will deepen your appreciation of the popular beverages. Learn about the various styles and brewing methods of your favourite craft beers and ciders, as well as the perfect food pairings.

Fans of high-quality brews will enjoy the craft beer tasting for small groups at the 12 Apostles Hotel.

If the allure of craft beer has not yet gripped hold of you, taking part in a tasting, hosted by an expert Sommelier, will show you the way.

The private tasting is available for between two and 20 guests. If there are up to ten people, it can be booked for The Leopard Bar or if there are 11–20 guests, it can be booked at the Conservatory, a larger tranquil space.

You have the opportunity to taste five, mostly locally produced brews, along with a variety of expertly paired canapés prepared by Executive Chef Christo Pretorius.

Chicken liver granola pairs with Boston – Van Hunks Pumpkin Ale; springbok loin is accompanied by CBC – Amber Weiss; yellowfin tuna is served with CBC – Krystal Weiss, and oxtail croquettes are enjoyed with Brewers & Union – Unfiltered Dark lager. The Granny Smith Apple dessert enhances the flavours of Orpens Apple Cider to end off on a sweet highlight.

Depending on availability, you can book the exclusive craft beer and craft cider tasting up to 24 hours in advance.

The Leopard Bar
Whether you are a local or a guest, the relaxed atmosphere of the Leopard Bar is the ideal setting to unwind with friends, family or colleagues. Live entertainment from Monday to Saturday evenings along with the spectacular views adds to the mood of chilling out in the opulent surroundings. The fully stocked bar and professional bartenders will ensure your drink is mixed, muddled and poured to perfection and you can even design a unique cocktail from your favourite ingredients.

The Leopard Bar is also a great spot to enjoy afternoon tea and coffee with all the trimmings. The Leopard Bar is open daily between 7 am and 2 am.
