Maynardville, Wynberg
It’s time for the annual Shakespeare production at Maynardville, and this year you can enjoy the wonderful, tragic story of Othello. Due to popular demand, Othello is being brought back to the Maynardville stage after its highly successful run last year.
The incredibly talented Pope Jerrod will be playing the title role, and the award-winning duo, Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer are returning as the creative team.
If you missed out last year, here is your chance to see Shakespeare in one of the most beautiful open-air theatres in the world.

Oooooo! Thoughts Linda and Larisa?!
Lynette Cilliers i was going to suggest that we go again but its the same play as last year
Still worth another visit.
I have just returned from seeing the performance tonight and think they performed superbly! Yet at the end the actors barely got applause, I couldn’t
clap loud enough, how flat they must feel meeting such a lack lustre audience.
The seats were about one third filled but no excuse for such a poor response, it wasn’t negative but I personally feel the cast deserved more. It was one of my best productions I’ve seen at Maynardville in years.
BRAVO to you all and may you have a wonderfully successful run of the show in the weeks to come.
