GETTING THERE

The Grand Parade is in the heart of the CBD, and anyone who has ever driven in town will know that parking is a nightmare. To make things easier, there are three park and ride venues to help get you to the concert. You can park off, hop on a bus and enjoy the ride without the stress of trolling the streets looking for a parking spot. The buses will start leaving at 3 pm and will be leaving every hour with the last bus departing the Grand Parade 1 am. The park and ride points are:

TICKETS, GATES AND ADMIN

Only valid tickets purchased from Computicket will be accepted. Make sure you printed your ticket, so it can be scanned at the gates. The gates will open at 5 pm and the organisers have urged people not to arrive before 3 pm as you will not be allowed to queue that early. You will not be allowed to bring your own food and drinks into the venue, but you can buy stuff at the concert venue.

The concert will be cashless in order for things to move quicker.  This way you don’t have to miss your favourite song while waiting in line to buy a drink. Only contactless-enabled debit and credit cards will be able to function at the show. Your existing debit or credit card needs to have an NFC logo (Tap & Go Card) on it for it to work at these shows.

If you card does not have an NFC logo on it, you can buy cashless cards to use at the concert. You can buy them beforehand or at the CASHLESS/RECHARGE tent at the show. Buy your cashless card here.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

It goes without saying that weapons, illegal drugs and your own booze will not be allowed. Other things that will not be permitted to the shows are professional cameras or iPads, gazebos, chairs and cooler boxes and oversized handbags that could be used to smuggle contraband.

OPENING ACTS AND SHOW TIMES

The world is divided into two kinds of concert goers. Those who arrive early to watch the show in its entirety, and those who come just for the main act. No matter which side you fall on, here is the schedule for the show so you can plan what time you get there:

6 pm – 6:40 pm: John Wizards
7 pm – 7:40 pm: The Very Best
8 pm – 9 pm: Beatenberg
9:45 pm – 11:45 pm: Mumford and Sons with Baaba Maal

Now all that’s left is for you to go off and enjoy the show. Here is a little something to get you amped!

So, just to let you know, the bus from tygervalley did in fact NOT leave ‘every hour starting from 3pm’ as you mentioned. Waited for the bus from19:00 to 20:20 and eventually had to get an Uber. Great waste of time and money. The tygervalley bus only leaves at 3pm.
