The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon (42.2 km) is a prestigious global city race open to a range of running enthusiasts, from elite athletes to social runners.
Celebrating Cape Town and its heritage, the route takes runners past mountain and sea, as well as many of the city’s great attractions. It’s a unique way to experience the highlights and vibrant spirit of one of Africa’s most visited and celebrated cities.
The race is ideal both for athletes who aim to achieve fast times, and for first-timers who want to finish their inaugural marathon, and the 8-hour cut-off time can accommodate the social runner.
The event is a qualifier for the 2015 Comrades and Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathons.
