Toya Delazy is without a doubt one of the coolest, most iconic musicians in South Africa. Thias past month, she returned to the Mother City for her Rocking The City Tour where she showcased her new sound. We caught up with the muso to find out what she loves about Cape Town.
1 How does Cape Town influence or inspire you when you’re here?
I love Cape Town, it treats me well. The nature inspires me. Each time I come back, I just fall more and more in love.
2 What do you love most about this city?
The beach, the sunsets, the food – I love that there’s always something new to see.
3 If your friend was visiting Cape Town for the first time, where would you take them first?
I would definitely drive them up Kloof Nek on my scooter and let them embrace the breathtaking view as we drive down. It definitely sets the tone.
4 Describe the city in three words.
Hot girls, sexy beaches, windy as hell (imagine all three together 🙂
5 If you were to create a souvenir that represents Cape Town, what would it be or look like?
A T-shirt with ‘KHOISANIAN’ on the front.
