Ultra South Africa has been raging on since 2014. And for the first time , an extra special event will be held for all you Ultranauts and music-lovers. The night before Cape Town’s instalment of this epic electronic music festival, a gala dinner and fundraiser will be held for the NPO Bridges for Music.

An organisation committed to strengthening the music industry in developing countries, Bridges for Music has held several workshops in South Africa in collaboration with artists such as Black Coffee, Goldfish and Skrillex. And this year, they’ve teamed up with Ultra SA in order to raise R600 000 for the completion of a music and entrepreneurial school that’s currently being built in Langa township. Such an accomplishment will facilitate the school’s opening in mid-2017.

The Bridges for Music gala dinner is where and when this goal will hopefully be reached. Shaun Duvet, one of SA’s most well-known DJs and a partner to Ultra SA, says they are excited to host the event. ‘We can’t wait to bring the dance music community together to support a great cause that’s very close to our hearts. We’re happy to be able to work with such talented and generous people towards such an exciting achievement.’

The fundraiser is set to feature some extraordinary entertainment, including various local and international acts (hint: DJ Snake and Euphonik are amongst them) that will appear on the Ultra SA stages.

A taste of such musical talent will surely sate you. And speaking of taste, the gala dinner features a mouthwatering three-course menu and a welcome cocktail. There’ll also be a live auction and those in attendance have the opportunity to win unique prizes. Booking is essential as seats are limited, so contact [email protected] for ticket information.
