Sometimes, you’re just not up for a lap on the treadmill in a large, crowded gym. Or perhaps gyms aren’t your thing at all. No problem, as the Mother City has loads of other cool activities you can do to help you stay in shape. One of our favourites? Pilates. We’ve found some of the city’s most intimate pilates studios, that only accommodate between eight and 12 students per class, so you can get fit in a relaxed setting.

1 Studio2Pilates

Pilates Studios

Ladies, this one’s for you. As a women-only facility, Studio2Pilates gives you the chance to work out in a secure and nurturing environment, where you’re encouraged to take lessons with the same group of gals with whom you’ll form strong bonds and support each other through challenges. By offering barre and stretching classes in addition to pilates, this studio combines the three core components of physical fitness – cardiovascular capacity, strength and flexibility – so you can follow an all-encompassing exercise regime.
