Rhenish Girls’ High School, Stellenbosch

In 1998, the play ‘Piekniek’, written by Johannes Kerkorrel and Koos Kombuis, made headline news all across South Africa. The modern adaptation of this work, part of Stellenbosch University’s Woordfees, strives to inform the audience on protest theatre in a country afflicted by apartheid.

The highly esteemed Charl-Johan Lingenvelder is the brains behind the play’s music and with a cast featuring young talent, such as Dean Balie, Marlo Minnaar, Pierre Theron and respected actress Nicole Holm, you won’t be disappointed by this poignant piece of art.
