The dam levels at Theewaterskloof are showing really positive signs from the third cold front to pass over Cape Town in the space of a week.

This afternoon, Cape Town has seen steady rainfall set in – a welcome relief for the drought crisis which has lasted for months on end, and depending who you speak to, an impending crisis which has actually been years in the making.

A video surfaced earlier displaying the rush of fresh water flowing into a parched Theewaterskloof dam. But even after today’s seemingly considerable rainfall, with Sunday and Monday’s predicted rainfall included, it’s still not enough for the City of Cape Town to ease up on water restrictions.
