With work from the likes of Justine Mahoney, Adam Court, Brett Murray, Gregor Jenkin, John Vogel, Dokter And Misses, Laurie Wiid van Heerden, Porky Hefer, among others, awaiting at Lewin Street in Woodstock on 27 November 2014, it was an evening to be celebrated. Designers, fellow design appreciators and creators amalgamated for the official opening of Southern Guild’s new exhibition space.
Southern Guild, the premier gallery for collectible, limited-edition South African design has found a permanent home: an all-white gallery space at the heart of Woodstock’s design district. Founded by Julian and Trevyn McGowan, Southern Guild provides a platform showcasing the very best of South African design from the most respected designers and artists in the country. Exhibiting locally and at leading Design Fairs around the world, the collection strives to progress, stimulate and promote the industry.
