Celebrate National Heritage Day and mark the official re-launch of the Lanzerac Hotel & Spa at the 326-year old estate for a special dining experience, showcasing a wide selection of unique dishes from each of its dining venues on Monday, the 24th of September 2018.

Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Lanzerac MCC paired with canapés and can spend the day savouring wholesome food whilst roaming between the newly renovated Manor Kitchen, Taphuis and Craven Lounge.

The private dining venue will showcase the estates’ fine cuisine specialties, with epicurean options such as duck egg crème brûlée, comprising of aromatic crisp duck, with compressed apple salad, creamed feta and dark chocolate. The venue will also be serving golden grilled scallops with asparagus, radish, cauliflower mousse and lime essence, as well as braai-caramelised brisket of corned beef with horseradish, truffle pea, spiced onion and cabernet dressing.

There will also be a kids’ station serving cheese burger bites; hand-cut chip cones with tomato and stringy cheese sauce; gourmet roosterkoek with apricot; and mini boerewors rolls with tomato smoor.

Heritage Day revellers can also enjoy their favourite Lanzerac wines and MCC in the luxurious outdoor wine lounge set up on the lush lawns, or artisanal gin from the pop-up bar in the Governors Hall.

Expect fresh, seasonal produce and great wine, along with mesmerising music from a cellist who will be performing from within a beautiful bubble beneath the magnificent mountains that ensconce the estate. Setting the tone for the event will be music from CODA Africa’s saxophonist, who will wander through the audience performing jazz standards, along with well-known contemporary numbers that will have attendees swaying in their seats or up on their feet dancing throughout the day. Plus, there will be a special photo wall where Instagrammers can snap memories of the occasion.

With the dining experience being limited to 200 people, pre-booking is essential. The price for children 6 years and older is R325, and children under 5 gain free access.
