South Africa has been abuzz with opinions after an interview between South African Revenue Services Chief IT Officer, Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane, and Sakina Kamwendo from MorningLIVE went viral.
Makhekhe-Mokhuane was also testifying at the Nugent Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday, and her responses there also left many gobsmacked.
Many feel Makhekhe-Mokhuane was ill prepared for the interview and seemingly unknowledgeable regarding the IT questions asked despite her reputable position.
Where did they dig up SARS IT head Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane?

Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane is the SARS IT chief – Asked about comments she made about people who had been at SARS for many years
– she responds about a Drakensberg boys choir. Dear South Africa you pay her over R250K a month for this? pic.twitter.com/ZLpyYO7Gqn— CHERYL ZONDI✊✊ (@Allan_Tshuma) October 18, 2018
Can someone perhaps explain what Mmamathe #Makhekhe-Mokhuane means by saying “protect me from yourself”? #SARSInquiry

On Morning Live it was “mam can you give me protection from yourself”
Now at SARS inquiry it is “you are stuck between a rock and TWO hard places” https://t.co/3OhWOizZm7

Please take this as an innocent suggestion from a concerned citizen not someone whose aim is to appear ridiculous. I am of the view that SARS Head of IT, Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane should be subjected mental evaluation. Her appearance at #SARSInquiry and interview on @eNCA ???

Has Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane ever done her own eFiling because I think everyone who has knows more about #SARS‘ IT than she does! #SARSInquiry #SouthAfrica https://t.co/LxBzahcZiE
