Wednesday 8 June 7 pm

Cape Town Science Centre, Observatory

The biggest science project in the world, the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) is under construction in South Africa and African Space The Live Documentary tracks its phenomenal  progress. Interviews of both renowned astronomers and townspeople of the Karoo show the large scope of SKA from the dusty streets of the Karoo to the vast expanse of space.

African Space The Live Documentary mixes journalism, poetry and music to create a unique form of documentary storytelling. The event is a collaboration between the podcast Sound Africa and Encounters South African International Documentary Festival.
