Monday 30 January 7 pm
Alexander Bar, CBD
We have great news for those who’ve seen Jemma Kahn’s The Epicene Butcher and We Didn’t Come to Hell for the Croissants. A sequel to these fabulous shows is on its way to Alexander Bar.
In Bocca al Lupo is the third show devised by Jemma which incorporates the 12th century Japanese storytelling form known as kamishibai. A collection of tales (mostly inappropriate in this particular case) are told by Jemma, each of them accompanied by a a slideshow of vibrant pictorial aids.
Named after the Italian equivalent of ‘break a leg’ (directly translated as ‘in the mouth of the wolf’) In Bocca al Lupo takes you across three continents. You’ll encounter one or two naked Catholics, a giant cicada and a golden surprise. And once again, this show is not for the faint-hearted or the easily offended.
