Social media was abuzz last night when the near-full moon over Cape Town displayed a rainbow halo – with it now being dubbed the “rainbow moon”. The natural phenomena is known as a corona and is produced by the diffraction of light from the moon. Read more about that here.
In case you missed it, the annual minstrel parade has been postponed until next Saturday, as announced yesterday.
