Attention all astronomers – aspiring or established – get ready for summer school and brush up on your knowledge of the dwarf planets, Ceres and Pluto.

The astronomer and Head of Instrumentation at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO), Dr Amanda Sickafoose, is giving a lecture entitled Ceres and Pluto: A Dwarf Planet Extravaganza, which entails a brief history of planet discovery, unusual characteristics of Ceres and Pluto, and new images and findings.
