Artscape New Voices presents two performances on one evening. The combination of In (S)kin/Language and Syria?.
In (S)kin/Language deals with intimate personal histories as the creator thinks back about being taught English as one of only three black children at a private all-boys boarding school based in Natal in the late ’80s.
Syria?. is a satirical story about a woman who tries to have a Muslim boy expelled because he befriended her daughter. The play mentions the chemical attacks that took place in Syria.
