Artscape
Forming part of the Heritage Festival 2015, Artscape will be hosting a double-bill production to start off Heritage month.
Kijken, which translates to the word ‘Jonga’ in isiXhosa, is a frenetic dance collaboration by Jazzart Dance Theatre and DOX from the Netherlands. The production is a fusion of contemporary European and various African dance styles and celebrates their similarities despite the geographic boundaries between them.
Connections is a new production co-created by Fana Tshabalala, Thulani Chauke from Dance Forum (Johannesburg) and Anna Maria Suijkerbuijk from ISH Dance (Netherlands).
