The plight of mental illness has largely been ignored and misunderstood. The recent tragic events where 94 mentally ill patients died in an SA hospital has brought these issues to light. Madness: Songs of Hope and Despair aims to portray this through art.
Using music, song and imagery, a nine-member vocal ensemble and a small orchestra bring this important production to life.
