Written by Peter Weiss in 1963, Marat/Sade is a bloody and unrelenting depiction of class struggle and human suffering that asks whether true revolution comes from changing society or changing oneself. Jaco Bouwer brings this latest adaptation to life through his unique style of direction and design.

Together with his cast, Bouwer questions the possibility of revolution today, a topic that has strong resonance within the current South African context that runs deep in the political life of the student movement.
