Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, CBD

Culture Connect offers curated experiences of various notable places in South Africa. Visitors explore landmarks, galleries, studios and townships. On Wednesday 21 October 2016, you have the chance to take a tour of various artworks in Parliament.

You will tour the parliamentary library, which has an exceptional collection of artwork created by Southern Africa’s first European explorers and artists. Added to that, more recent art will be shown. Artwork Office Administrator Lila Komnick will on hand to give expert information.

One highlight to look forward to is the 120 meter long Keiskamma Tapestry, which surrounds the walls of one of the chambers designed by architect Sir Herbert Baker.

There will also be lunch at 6 Spin Street Restaurant.
