This Friday marks the 16th anniversary of the RCS Gugulethu Reconciliation Race, affectionately called the ‘Gugs Race’. Reconciliation Day’s promotion of unity within South Africa is the inspiration for this event, which celebrates the bond of humanity shared by our community.
Runners in the RCS Gugs Race can be of any age or fitness level. There are two races to enter, one a distance of 10km, the other just 4.2km. Online entries have closed, but you can sign up on the day at 5.30 am.
The day also includes a music festival, food stalls and fun activities for the kids.
