Tuesday 2 December, 8 pm
Theatre on the Bay, Camps Bay
Alan Committie is (still) alive with… The Sound of Laughter, his brand new festive season stand-up show!
As a 40-year-old comedian with slightly greying hair, Committie is trying to be a little more serious about his comedy. Covering everything from selfies to Christmas elfies, banting whilst bunting, the final say on the Pistorius trial, a beautifully nuanced recreation of The Sound of Music – in eight minutes – and a powerful if ineffective examination of War Horse and why it cannot solve the Middle East Crisis, it promises to be an unmissable evening.
With special appearances by Johan van der Walt and demotivational speaker Trevor Tahor, the theatre will certainly be roaring with the sound of laughter.
