Mischief, mayhem and marriage go hand in hand in the brand new production of Mozart’s comic masterpiece of impetuous love Le Nozze di Figaro or The Marriage of Figaro.

The Marriage of Figaro is a comedic cycle of transgression and forgiveness, infidelity and commitment. The biting social irony tells of a servant, Figaro, who outwits his master, Count Amalviva, when the latter decides to claim his right to have his way with Figaro’s virgin bride on her wedding night.

Performed by the Cape Town Opera accompanied by the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jeremy Silver.
