Maynardville Open-Air Theatre, Wynberg
The Maynardville Open-Air Theatre brings you an African-inspired take on one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies, ‘Twelfth Night’. It’s a classic tale of romantic mishaps, masquerade and mistaken identity, set on the fictional island of Illyria.
The production features experienced Shakespearean actor David Johnso, and award-winning actress Elizabeth Akudugu. Directing it is Geoffrey Hyland, the current Head of UCT’s Drama Department, and its original score is by afro-classical composer Neo Muyanga.
