Tuesday 5 April 11 am
Baxter Theatre, Rondebosch
The classic political play, Woza Albert is now on at the Baxter, and with the current political climate, it’s timing couldn’t be more perfect. Set in 1980, the play looks at an array of characters in South Africa.
The play attacks the pass laws the prevented Black people from moving freely during Apartheid and uses the metaphor of Morena (Jesus) to show what would happen if he came back to SA during Apartheid. This power play is on twice a day, expect on Friday 8 April 2016, so you can watch it at a time that suits you best.
