As the old rhyme goes, “red sky at night, sailors’ delight; red sky in the morning sailors’ take warning”. Did anyone manage to catch Friday’s sunset? An explanation of the rhyme means if sailors spot a red sky during sunset, they would expect good sailing weather the following day.
Friday’s sunset was one for the books. As the sun set, the cotton ball clouds in the skies lit up in hues of pink, orange and red. It was truly mesmerising.
Cape Town experienced unusually warm weather since Thursday [June 18], and there is rain expected from Saturday afternoon, all the way into Sunday. It’s going to be a wet Father’s Day so prepare accordingly.
