According to South African Weather Service (SAWS), heavy rain is on the cards for tomorrow evening. SAWS has also issued a weather warning for flooding in the Cape Metropole, Cape Winelands and the Overberg District from Monday until Tuesday.

While the City welcomes the much-needed downpour, winter is not an easy time for those without a warm bed to retreat to. If you would like to help someone have a warm, dry place to sleep, then check out the Haven Night Shelter’s Buy A Bed initiative, where you can ‘buy’ a bed for a homeless person for five nights, for just R60.
