Cape Town is notorious for being a city for socializing – at any given weekend, you can find a myriad of different events to attend and while away the day with good company and a great experience.

This weekend is no exception, and may, in fact, be the busiest three days the city will experience.

Here is a breakdown of the events Cape Town will host:

ULTRA Music Festival

EDM lovers, listen up! ULTRA is back this year, and will take place at The Ostrich Farm near Outdsthoorn on March 1 (Friday).

Some of this year’s headline acts include Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers and Above & Beyond.

Veuve Cliquot Masters Polo Cape Town 2019

The ninth annual event, a highlight on the Western Cape calendar, will focus on the sport that has shown a sharp rise in popularity and skill in Africa over the past few years. It is expected that more than 3 000 prestigious guests, many from neighbouring countries and provinces, will pay homage to the high-speed, high-skill game of polo while sipping Veuve Clicquot and celebrating summer this Saturday.

Cape Town Pride

Pride is an event that all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as their allies, look forward to each year. For many, it is the only time of year when they can express themselves in full colour within a safe and celebratory space.

Although Pride is a 10-day long event, it all culminates in the march and Mardi Gras party in Green Point this Saturday.

Ticket holders are allowed to bring cooler boxes with cool drinks and water, cameras, beach umbrellas, blankets, picnic baskets and folding chairs, but not their own alcohol.
