Day 12 of the nationwide lockdown is here. The country and the province continue to be seemingly empty versions of what they once were but while we wait for our 21 days to end, it is important to remain thankful.

There is always someone out there who has it worse than you do and every day, whether spent inside or not, is another blessing.

We can’t go outside and enjoy it but Cape Town is still as beautiful as ever, with the nature around us reveling in the time its had to recover thanks to the absence of humans.

It seems the Mother City is heading into the colder months with more rain on the horizon and lower temperatures expected this week.

Take a few minutes to reflect on all the things we still do have and can do.

With only nine days left of lockdown, we have a lot to look forward to on the other side.
