It’s day 11 of the 21-day lockdown, which means we’re about midway through this. Today [April 6], Cape Town was subjected to its first taste of winter, with dreary skies, light rains and biting winds.

Home testing was rolled out in parts of the Western Cape today. The areas that will be tested include:

Cape Town Metro sub-districts

– Khayelitsha: Town2 and Ilitha Park (Monday)

– Eastern: Happy Valley (Monday)

– Tygerberg: Bishop Lavis (Monday)

– Western: Bo-Kaap (Tuesday)

– Klipfontein: Philippi (Tuesday)

Rural districts

– Kwanonqaba, Mossel Bay (Monday)

– Mbekweni, Cape Winelands (Monday)

Here is a look at what the residents of the Mother City saw and got up to today:

“Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of human spirit…” ~ Herbert Hoover. • Happy Monday everyone!…Day 11 of lockdown and the beginning of the second full week here in SA! How’s everyone feeling? Looking forward to walking beyond the boundaries of my garden and seeing more views like this in the not too distant future. In the meantime, grateful that technology allows us all to maintain social contact and keep motivated, though some days are more challenging! ???? • • ? Hout Bay served as alternative anchorage to Table Bay, which was deemed unsafe in strong prevailing winds. ?? • #houtbay #capetown #lockdownsa #mondaymotivation #21daylockdown #chapmanspeak #armchairtravel #stayathome #stayinspired #travelfromhome #capetownbest #viewslikethese #capetownbucketlist #virtualtravel #visitlater #meetcapetown #capetownmag #meetsouthafricalater #capetownsouthafrica #capetownetc #thisissouthafrica #kapstadt #amazingcapetown #wonderlustcapetown #instagram_sa #instagramcapetown #amazingcapetown #capetowntourism #southafrica
