It’s Day 6 of the 21-day national lockdown and many Capetonians are heeding the call to stay indoors. We applaud you for your efforts to stay home and curb the spread of coronavirus. Cape Town’s City Centre resembled a ghost town today. Never before has the V&A Waterfront come to a standstill. It is a noticeable reminder that locals are trying their hardest to flatten the curve.

The deal is that you stay indoors and we will show you what is happening outdoors. Send pictures from your windows, doors and balconies. We would love to see your view.

The V&A Waterfront.
A view of Table Mountain and the Cape Wheel from the V&A Waterfront.
Sea Point is quiet and deserted.
Not a soul on the beaches in Hout Bay.
Mariner’s Wharf in Hout Bay is normally a hive of activity.
The colorful Bo Kaap is still.
The roads leading to the CTICC are empty.
Nothing moves in the city centre.
