Nkosikho, the petrol attendant who touched the hearts of many across the nation when he helped a stranger who needed money for petrol, is having his kindness paid back in full, as the community rallies to raise funds for the good Samaritan.
Last week when driver Monet van Deventer stopped at a Cape petrol station to fill her car only to realise she had forgotten her card at home, Nkosikho, who was working there, did not hesitate to come to her rescue. He paid for her petrol out of his own pocket so that she would be able to reach her destination.
Nkosikho did not even take Deventer’s name or number, simply saying he trusted that she would pay back the money when she passed by the petrol station again. Deventer was so touched by his gracious deed that she shared her story on Facebook, which went viral.
Now community of the Western Cape and South Africa at large is stepping up to pay back Nkosikho’s good deed by raising funds for his children’s education.
Nkosikho has expressed sheer gratitude for the kind support he has received from the South African people and would like to remind everyone that all focus and praise should go to God who inspires all good deeds.
Originally, the aim was to raise R100 000 but because of the amazing support from so many members of the community stretching across South Africa the funds are currently at almost R400 000.
You can support the amazing man who renewed many people’s faith in humanity here.
